They are hardworking, dedicated individuals who bring experience, leadership, and heart to everything they do. This month, we’re shining the spotlight on Chris Morrison, our Plant Manager, who has been an essential part of the Brainard Rivet team since 1988.
Building Teams and Solving Problems
For Chris, the best part of his job is the people he works with every day. “I enjoy team building and problem solving,” he shared. “That is being able to work with a melting pot of people with different skill sets and talents. Building teams and utilizing their strengths to manage the day-to-day manufacturing requirements and finding solutions to problems.” His passion for leadership and teamwork has been a driving force behind his long and successful career at Brainard Rivet.
A Career That Started Close to Home
Chris first learned about Brainard Rivet through a family connection. “My brother was employed here and encouraged me to apply for a Header Operator position,” he said. Not long after graduating from high school, Chris joined the company and he’s been part of the Brainard family ever since. When asked to describe a typical work week, Chris summed it up perfectly: “Plan strategically for every day and be prepared to change it.” It’s that flexibility and forward-thinking approach that help keep production running smoothly, no matter what challenges arise.
Life Outside of Work
When he’s not managing operations at the plant, Chris enjoys spending time with his wife and family. You might also find him outdoors, exploring trails on his ATV or side-by-side. His favorite meal? A classic Yankee pot roast followed by apple pie. As for his favorite celebrities, he’s a fan of John Wayne, Clint Eastwood, and Don Knotts; names that say a lot about his appreciation for grit, humor, and timeless character. When it comes to sports, he proudly supports the Cleveland Browns and Cleveland Guardians. 
If Chris could have any superpower, he says it would be strength and fortitude, qualities that already define the way he leads his team. His friends and family describe him as devoted and compassionate, which comes as no surprise to anyone who’s had the privilege of working with him.
