This month, we’re thrilled to shine the spotlight on Carin White, Customer Service Representative. Get to know more about Carin and her experience at Brainard Rivet below!
Carin came on board last July as a Customer Service Representative, and her enthusiasm and dedication have already made a major impact. With more than 23 years in the banking industry, Carin knows a thing or two about customer service and attention to detail. Transitioning into manufacturing might seem like a big leap, but Carin embraced the challenge head-on.
“I was actively looking for a change,” she shared. “After talking with Brittany B. about her experience at Brainard Rivet, I was really intrigued. Hearing about the culture and opportunities here made me want to be part of the team.”
No two days are quite the same when you work in customer service, but Carin has been enjoying the variety. She trained for her first 6 months with Tim Fawcett, a nine-year veteran and our lead Sales Engineer.
Carin’s Responsibilities Include:
- Monitoring the Aging Report and reaching out to clients on past-due invoices
- Entering purchase orders accurately and efficiently
- Assisting customers with order-related questions
- Coordinating with manufacturing to expedite orders
- Monitoring various customer portals to meet product demands and delivery
- Ensuring everything is handled with the level of service Brainard Rivet is known for
- Following up with customers who have sent in requests for quotation
“I love being part of a team,” Carin said. “It’s exciting to learn where to look when a client has a question and to make sure everything gets done in a timely manner.”
When she’s not at work, Carin keeps herself busy in ways that make a difference. She enjoys participating in 5K Fun Runs with friends, which often support local nonprofits close to her heart. These events combine fitness, fun, and philanthropy—a perfect match for her active and giving nature. This August, Carin ran in the Panerathon, an event that supports the Breast Care Center.
Carin has a fascinating cultural background. She is ½ Native American (Potawatomi – Keeper of the Fire). Her mother is full-blooded, and Carin still has family who live on a reservation in Escanaba, Michigan. She’s proud of her heritage and the traditions that come with it.

- Favorite Food: Mexican—Carin says she could eat it every day!
- Favorite Actors: Andy Garcia and Tom Hanks (a close second!)
- Favorite Team: The New York Jets—J.E.T.S… JETS! JETS! JETS!
- Dream Superpower: Teleportation. “I hate driving in Boardman during the holidays—or any time, really. And I won’t fly, so teleportation would make life so much easier!”
